Ceramic Coating
in Clyde North
Multi-year paint protection for Clyde North cars, applied indoors at our Cranbourne North studio, around 8 minutes away via Berwick-Cranbourne Road.
Coating a Clyde North car while the paint is at its best
Clyde North is one of the newer suburbs in Casey, and the best time to coat a car is before the paint has had years to collect swirls, water spots and oxidation. A coating bonded to a finish that is still close to how it left the showroom keeps it looking that way, rather than preserving damage that has already built up.
New does not always mean flawless, though. Whatever sits on the surface when the ceramic goes on is sealed in underneath it, so every car gets a decontamination wash and a machine polish before any protection is applied. How much polishing that takes depends on the car, and we tell you straight once we have seen the paint under the lights.
Our studio is about 8 minutes from Clyde North along Berwick-Cranbourne Road, which makes a longer booking easy to plan around. Paint Enhancement finished with ceramic sealant is typically a single day, and a full Correction and Coating usually stays with us for one to two days. Coming back later for maintenance is a short trip too.
What ceramic coating actually does
A coating is bonded to the clear coat rather than wiped over the top of it. That bond is what keeps it working for years, and you notice it in four ways.
Locks out contamination
Tar, bug guts, bird droppings and tree sap can't bond directly to the clear coat anymore. They sit on top of the ceramic layer and wash off cleanly.
Hydrophobic beading
Water beads up and rolls off instead of clinging. Rain effectively rinses the car as you drive. Drying after a wash is a five-minute job, not twenty.
UV resistance
Melbourne sun fades clear coat over years of exposure. Ceramic adds a UV-stable barrier that slows the oxidation that turns paint dull and chalky.
Deeper gloss
Light refracts cleanly through a coated surface. Colours look richer, dark cars look wetter, metallic flake actually pops. It's the look you remember from the showroom.

Ceramic Coating Clyde North - FAQs
My car is only a year or two old. Is it worth coating now?
Now is the best time. Paint that has seen little weather needs the least work before the coating goes on, and the protection is in place before swirls and water spots have a chance to build up. We still inspect the paint first, because a rushed dealer prep can leave light marks behind, and we will tell you honestly whether it needs a polish.
What happens to the paint before the coating goes on?
Every car goes through a decontamination wash and a machine polish before any protection is applied, so the ceramic bonds to clean, even paint instead of sealing marks in underneath. Paint Enhancement uses a single stage polish. Correction and Coating uses a two-stage cut and polish, which removes deeper swirls before the coating is laid down.
How much does ceramic coating cost in Clyde North?
Paint Enhancement finished with ceramic sealant starts from $350. Correction and Coating starts from $1,100 and lasts 3 to 8 years depending on the product and how the car is kept. Wheels can be coated from $75 per wheel, and headlights are $100. Size and paint condition set the final figure, and every car is quoted before the appointment.
How long will my car be at the studio?
Plan on a single day for the sealant finish and one to two days for Correction and Coating, depending on the size and condition of the car. We confirm timing when we quote. A deposit secures the booking, and we ask for 48 hours notice if you need to cancel or reschedule.
Can you come to my place in Clyde North?
Not for coating. Ceramic needs controlled lighting, a steady temperature and clean air to bond properly, so we only apply it at the Cranbourne North studio. Headlight restoration is the one service we offer as a mobile booking, and a call-out fee applies.
How do I keep a coated car looking good?
Hand wash it with a pH-neutral shampoo using the two-bucket method, and keep it away from automatic brush washes, which wear the coating down. If you would rather hand that job over, Subscription Detailing from $200 a month covers two exterior washes and two interior cleans, tyres dressed every visit, priority booking and a ceramic spray topper each month.
