Ceramic Coating
in Clyde
Paint protection matched to how long you plan to keep the car, from a ceramic sealant finish to a full multi-year coating. Applied at our Cranbourne North studio, 12 minutes from Clyde.
Choosing the right protection for a Clyde car
In a suburb where new homes are still going up, a car parked outside collects dust and grit quickly. A coating will not stop the car getting dirty. What it does is stop that film bonding to the clear coat, so it lifts off in a gentle wash instead of being scrubbed at, and scrubbing is what leaves fine swirl marks behind.
Not every car needs the full treatment. If you want gloss and water beading for the months ahead, Paint Enhancement finished with ceramic sealant is the practical choice, with the paint decontaminated, clayed and given a single stage polish first. If you are keeping the car for years, Correction and Coating goes further, with a two-stage cut and polish under a coating that lasts 3 to 8 years depending on the product. We recommend one after looking at the paint, not before.
Clyde sits a little further south than Clyde North, about 12 minutes from our Cranbourne North studio via Berwick-Cranbourne Road. The sealant finish is typically done in a day, while Correction and Coating usually needs one to two, so it is worth planning the drop-off around your week. We are open 7am to 7pm, seven days, by appointment.
What ceramic coating actually does
Here is what a properly bonded coating does for factory paint, and why the effect lasts well beyond a wash and wax.
Locks out contamination
Tar, bug guts, bird droppings and tree sap can't bond directly to the clear coat anymore. They sit on top of the ceramic layer and wash off cleanly.
Hydrophobic beading
Water beads up and rolls off instead of clinging. Rain effectively rinses the car as you drive. Drying after a wash is a five-minute job, not twenty.
UV resistance
Melbourne sun fades clear coat over years of exposure. Ceramic adds a UV-stable barrier that slows the oxidation that turns paint dull and chalky.
Deeper gloss
Light refracts cleanly through a coated surface. Colours look richer, dark cars look wetter, metallic flake actually pops. It's the look you remember from the showroom.
Three ways to book it
Prices start at these figures and move with the size of the car and the condition of the paint. Every car is quoted before the appointment, so there are no surprises at pick-up.

Ceramic Coating Clyde - FAQs
Should I get a ceramic sealant or a full coating?
It comes down to how long you are keeping the car and what the paint looks like now. Paint Enhancement with ceramic sealant, from $350, suits a car you want sharp and beading water for the months ahead. Correction and Coating, from $1,100, suits a car you plan to keep for years, because the paint is corrected before a coating that lasts 3 to 8 years. If you are unsure, choose Not sure on the form and we will recommend one.
What is Clay and Seal, and how is it different?
Clay and Seal is our lighter protection package: a pre-rinse and snow foam, a two-bucket wash, iron and tar decontamination and a paint sealant for gloss and water beading, with the wheels and tyres cleaned and dressed. There is no polishing, so it protects the paint as it is rather than correcting it, and it makes maintenance easier for months. Ask for a price when you enquire.
How much is ceramic coating in Clyde?
Starting prices are $350 for Paint Enhancement with ceramic sealant and $1,100 for Correction and Coating. Wheels start from $75 per wheel, with the figure depending on the design, the size, the prep needed and whether it is the face only or the full wheel including the barrels. Headlights are $100. A few photos with your enquiry help us quote accurately.
Is there a discount if I bring in two cars?
Yes. The Multi Vehicle Package takes 10% off for two cars, 15% for three and 20% for four or more, applied to the combined price. It applies to bookings made on the same day, and each car can have a different package.
Can you do the coating at my house in Clyde?
No. The coating has to bond in a clean, well lit space at a stable temperature, which a driveway cannot offer, so all ceramic work happens at the Cranbourne North studio, around 12 minutes from Clyde. Headlight restoration can be booked as a mobile service, with a call-out fee.
What should I avoid after the car is coated?
Try to keep it out of heavy rain for the first 24 to 48 hours, and skip washing for the first week while the coating cures. A light rinse is fine if it gets dirty. After that, stick to a two-bucket hand wash with pH-neutral shampoo, stay away from automatic brush washes, and remove bird droppings or tree sap the same day.
